Driving Licence
Jeepkenya recommends a jeep driving orientation for the first time
4x4 selfdrive experience in Africa.A valid driving licence from
the country of residence or an international driving permit is required.
The hirer must be over 25 years of age and have held a valid driving
licence for a minimum of
24 months. He must also be in possession of proper means of identification
other than a driving licence.
Deposit
A deposit equivalent to the estimated total cost of the hire plus
KShs. 20,000/= (US $ 300) is required by credit card. Final adjustments
will be made on completion of the rent a car contract.
Insurance
A compulsory daily insurance charge is payable by
the jeep hirer. All our vehicles are insured but in all cases (unless
by wilful or negligent damage) the first KShs. 2000/= (US $ 30)of
any damage is payable by the Hirer . Loss/damage of tyres, tools
and windscreens / glasses are not covered by
insurance.
Theft Protection
All the 4x4 jeeps must be locked when unattended. The vehicle must
not be parked in a public area for long periods. The Hirer is responsible
for the security of vehicle and in the event of theft is liable
for payment of KShs. 2000/=. (US
$ 30) The Hirer must not carry passengers for reward or gain.
Car Hire Agreement
Self drive 4x4 cars are hired subject to the Company's
standard form of agreement. Notwithstanding the above conditions
the Company reserves the right to refuse a hire at any time without
assigning any reasons.
Petrol and Oil
Self drive rates exclude petrol and oil.
Time and Distance
Calculated from base to base.
Credit Cards
Visa, Mastercard and American Express accepted.
